Les Miserables Lyrics, Madonna Filmer, Madonna, Madonna Film

The Latest News About: Les Miz' Arrives This Week: 'Turning Through The Years' Without The Turntable, Nick Jonas Les Miserables 2003 (Full Colour, Lyrics Captioned), Les Miserables, Madonna Filmer, Madonna, Madonna Film, Into The Groove: Some Musicals Age Better Than Others, And Les MisĂ©rables Is Among The Timeless. Still, Theatrical Styles, Preferences And Technology Are Always Evolving. So Producer Cameron Mackintosh’s Decision To Give Les Miz A Makeover For Its 25th Anniversary Production Is A Smart Move.
For Neophytes And Les Miz Fanatics, The Touring Production Now At The Broward Center For The Performing Arts Has Much To Offer In Its Grand Treatment Of Victor Hugo’s Classic Novel About Good And Evil, Love And Loss In 19th Century France.
The Gorgeous Claude-Michel Schönberg-Alain Boublil Score (With English Lyrics, Some Comically Clunky, By Herbert Kretzmer) Has Been Beautifully Re-Orchestrated By Chris Jahnke, Stephen Metcalfe And Stephen Brooker. The Stunning Set And Lighting Design, By Matt Kinley (Who Was Inspired By Hugo’s Paintings) And Paule Constable , Is Fluid And Alive. Two Scenes — The Heroic Jean Valjean’s Escape With The Wounded Marius Through The Sewers And An Emotionally Ruined Javert’s Leap Into The Seine — Are Breathtaking. And Through Casting Choices, The New Les Miz Has Acquired A Bit More Pop Sensibility. That Decision, However, Produces Mixed Results.
Almost Operatic In Its Scope And Musical Challenges, Les Miz Requires Powerful Actor-Singers, Particularly In The Leading Roles Of Valjean, A Man Who Serves 19 Years In Prison After Stealing A Loaf Of Bread To Feed His Sister’s Starving Family, And Javert, The Inflexible Lawman Who Relentlessly Pursues The Changed And Virtuous Valjean.
