Initiatives to create digital librarian
Initiatives to create digital librarian will be management, project management and work in the establishment, development, production and services related to digital collections of libraries and related projects. And manage this innovative and energetic person to work with colleagues and implement policies, procedures, techniques and metadata standards for digital collections of the Library Project, digitization projects assigned, and participate in the overall management of digital collections. This position reports to the Deputy Librarian of the University and full-time, 12-month, term-track position with rank of assistant professor. Post holder will have to work together to create partnerships within the library and the campus to conduct research activities and provide services to the university community and profession.
Specific tasks
    * Lead, manage and participate in projects related to digital library collections and preservation programs in collaboration with stakeholders, policy development and best practices for long-term safety and access to digital objects.
    * Lead, manage, and in planning and implementing digitization projects in various formats. They include maintenance of current national standards for metadata and schemas and is responsible for development and adaptation for local purposes.
    * Provide plans for digital projects, monitor the timely progress of ongoing projects and to prepare documentation for project activities.
